METALAST Offers On-Line Process Verification Report (PVR) Validation Program

April 15, 2003

METALAST International, Inc. has introduced is On-Line Process Verification Report (PVR) Validation Program for manufacturers and job shops wanting to verify the authenticity of their PVR’s.

A PVR is generated after each process run controlled by the JobPro for quality assurance and verification purposes. Information on the PVR describes exactly how the part was processed. Some of the information found on the PVR includes: date, process time, ramping, bath temperature, current or voltage, operator ID and more.

METALAST allows manufacturers worldwide to track the authenticity of their Process Verification reports through its PVR On-Line Validation Program. The PVR Validation Program provides traceability to manufacturers, and places quality accountability on their metal finishing vendors. The following describes the two (2) different programs a manufacturer may choose to enter:

  1. PVR Limited Validation Program (credit cards accepted)
    • Annual PVR Subscribers Fee, in addition to a cost per individual PVR Validation, billed monthly or charged to credit card.
  2. PVR Corporate License Validation Program (credit cards accepted)
    • Annual PVR Subscribers License Fee – good up to a certain number of reports. A reduced rate is charged per report after the number is exceeded.

Once signed up for the program under either of the options listed above, METALAST will issue the manufacturer a confidential user name and password which are required to enter the secure On-Line Validation portion of the METALAST web site. Once in the secure site, users will enter the PVR Validation Code found on the actual Process Verification Report. After entering the code, the user will see a screen stating whether or not the code is authentic. Users can print out the Validation page for records and traceability.
