METALAST Makes Proprietary Additive Available To Public |
| July 5, 2000
METALAST, the leading innovator in technology, research, and process support to the aluminum anodizing industry, announces that its proprietary chemical additive, METALAST AA-100, is now available to all domestic and international anodizers for purchase. METALAST AA-100 improves performance and appearance characteristics of the resulting anodized surface and facilitates the anodizing process itself. While the maximum benefits will be obtained from use of the complete METALAST technology, significant improvement may be achieved by use of the additive alone. METALAST had previously only offered the AA-100 additive to METALAST Licensees. The additive is a combination of organic monomers specially formulated to prevent the aluminum from burning during the anodizing process. Decreasing the tendency for burning allows a high quality, uniform oxide to form even when anodizing at higher current densities. METALAST also offers a no-charge evaluation sample program whereby manufacturers may send sample parts for anodizing using the METALAST Technology. Details on both the METALAST AA-100 Additive and Evaluation Sample Program may be obtained by contacting METALAST by phone or online at www.metalast.com. METALAST International, Inc. offers a complete technology for use in the anodizing of aluminum products. Anodizing services are available through the growing national network of METALAST licensed job shops and to captive manufacturing facilities. Consulting services are available to manufacturers on either a contract or fee basis. The technology includes advanced chemistry, computer process control, professional research, education, training and technical support services. The METALAST Tech Center is the worlds only facility dedicated to aluminum anodizing research and development and is located in Minden, Nevada near Reno/Lake Tahoe. The company is privately held, and employs 30 people.
