METALAST Addresses Manufacturer Needs With METALAST Consulting Agreement

January 7, 2000

METALAST, the leading innovator in technology, research, and process support to the aluminum anodizing industry, announces the creation and implementation of the METALAST Consulting Agreement (MCA). While the METALAST license focuses on the anodizer, the MCA is oriented to the manufacturer specifically, but is a major tool in attracting the anodizer vendors as well.

Under terms of the MCA, a manufacturing company pays to METALAST an annual retainer that is based on company size. The retainer includes a credit towards all chargeable technical services offered by METALAST, including: educational courses, specification development, research & development, consulting and technical support, and a variety of lab and testing services. METALAST will continue to offer "entry level" consulting services, but this program will offer a way to work with manufacturers with more extensive and continuing requirements while ensuring payment to METALAST for it's staff, facilities and expertise.

In addition, the adoption of METALAST specifications and other programs will offer a major incentive to anodizers to become METALAST licensees as more manufacturers recommend or require the use of the METALAST technology.

The creation and implementation of the METALAST Consulting Agreement (MCA) and traveling METALForum presentations, allow METALAST to continue their industry penetration and attract the heightened interest of both anodizers and manufacturers.

The travelling METALForum program has over 45 locations in North America targeted to continue anodizing education and METALAST marketing during 2000.

The signing of an MCA and/or the specification of the METALAST Process by manufacturers will guarantee the signing of many anodizers currently recognizing the need to improve their anodizing, but not sensing the urgency to sign a License.

METALAST offers the most complete and advanced technology to the anodizing industry. In addition to the world’s only dedicated anodizing research and development center, the company provides advanced chemistry, computer process controls, education and training, and full technical and marketing support. The METALAST technology facilitates production of superior oxides and operating efficiencies with improved consistency, repeatability, and process verification. METALAST is offered under a license to anodizers. Manufacturers can access any element of the technology, e.g. R&D, technical support, education and training under agreement with the METALAST Consulting Agreement (MCA).
