| The leadership of Ford Motor Company is affirmed by continued growth toward becoming the world’s largest auto company. At the same time, METALAST has established itself as the world’s leading technology provider to the anodizing industry – and this accomplishment has not gone unnoticed at Ford. A Section Supervisor overseeing powertrain engineering product development at Ford has worked closely with METALAST management and technical staff. He has remarked repeatedly on the responsiveness, technical capabilities, corporate organization, and effectiveness of the METALAST Technology and team in assisting Ford.
Over the past year, numerous events have occurred which continue to refine and strengthen the growing relationship between METALAST and Ford. An early discussion and sample development with Ford engineers demonstrated that METALAST anodizing could produce hardness characteristics that the Ford engineers had "never seen before." This observation led to a continuing R&D effort with advanced technology engineers working on Ford Power Train products. The Senior Technical Specialist in anodizing and metal finishing for Ford’s Visteon unit continues to work closely with our technical staff and remarked that he was overwhelmed by the resources and capabilities of the METALAST Tech Center. Subsequent visits to the METALAST Tech Center and to Ford facilities have produced agreements for research alliance, discussion of revamping of Ford’s in-house anodizing facilities, and numerous product development solutions. Issues of hardness, abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, quality and consistency have been met with success in virtually every problem area that Ford has brought to METALAST.
