New additions to the
METALAST TECHSpec™ Performance Capabilities

The most recent METALAST TECHSpec, "Aluminum Build-up Rate," verifies that the METALAST Technology significantly decreases the decant frequency of tanks due to the high current density used, and the prevention of burning provided by the METALAST chemical additive. The reduction in decant frequency will save anodizers money represented by reducing the amount of down time and waste disposal costs, while greatly helping the environment.

The other new METALAST TECHSpec–"Dimensional Changes of Anodized Aluminum"- shows that the dimensional increase of anodized aluminum by METALAST is higher than that by traditional anodizing process, especially under Type II conditions. This data is useful to assist in accurately calculating tolerances on precision parts to be anodized.

METALAST TECHSpecs are technical data sheets describing the performance capabilities of anodized surfaces using the METALAST Technology. All TECHSpecs are supported by scientific analysis and research. TECHSpecs are available by request.

METALAST International, Inc. offers a complete technology to the aluminum anodizing industry through a growing national network of METALAST licensed job shops and captive manufacturing facilities. The technology includes: advanced chemistry, computer process control, research and development, education, training and technical support services. The METALAST Tech Center is the world’s only research facility dedicated to aluminum anodizing and is located in Minden, Nevada near Reno/Lake Tahoe.
