Metal Finishing Chemistry
METALAST provides aluminum anodizing chemicals to the metal finishing industry. Some of the different types of chemistry include nickel acetate seals, dyes used for anodizing, additive for hardcoat anodizing, and other specialty chemicals. METALAST is proud to certify that all product RoHS compliant and meet OSHA regulations. As a chemical supplier, METALAST prides itself on providing excellent customer service, superior specialty chemicals and RoHS & green metal finishing products.
The aluminum anodizing chemistry product line includes a variety of pre-treatment and post-treatment aluminum anodizing chemicals and dyes to be used for anodizing. Whether you are looking for nickel acetate seals, or other hardcoat anodizing or archectural anodizing chemicals, all METALAST specialty chemicals are manufactured under ISO 9002 standards and OSHA regulations and include:
- Additive
- Cleaners
- Deoxidizers
- Dyes
- Etchants
- Sealants
METALAST AA-200 is a proprietary aluminum anodizing, specialty chemical additive. AA-200 is a combination of organic monomers specially formulated to prevent the processed part from burning during the aluminum anodizing stage. Typically a nickel acetate seal would follow this stage, producing a high quality, uniform oxide and improved throughput. AA-200 is another all product RoHS compliant specialty chemical that meets OSHA regulations and is available to the metal finishing industry. As the patent holder and only chemical supplier of the AA-200, METALAST is pleased to offer the next generation of aluminum anodizing additives to the metal finishing industry.
METALAST TCP-HF is an environmentally safe and superior trivalent chromate chemical alternative to hexavalent chromates. This “green” trivalent chromate chemical, along with other aluminum anodizing products, is one of the trademarked products of METALAST International, LLC and can only be purchased through METALAST or its network of authorized distributors and chemical suppliers.
METALAST TCP-HF is an RoHS compliant product, which meets the MIL-C-5541 (now referred to as MIL-DTL-5541) and MIL-DTL-81706B, OSHA regulations and the hex European Union ELV directive. METALAST TCP-HF is QPL approved (May 2006) and is the only viable and superior performing trivalent chromate and RoHS compliant hex substitute available to the aluminum anodizing and metal finishing industry. This trivalent chromate chemical is environmentally safe and a superior performing alternative to hexavalent chromates that are now being banned globally by regulations such as the RoHS, WEEE, ELV and the OSHA regulation PEL. This trivalent chromate product is user friendly and can be applied at room temperature with no odor with a pH close to neutral.
METALAST TCP-HF EPA (Extended Protection Additive) is an environmentally safe and superior trivalent chromate chemical additive used in conjunction with METALAST TCP-HF, primarily as an anti-corrosion enhancement agent in chromate conversion applications.
Like other METALAST RoHS compliant products, METALAST TCP-HF EPA meets the MIL-C-5541 (now referred to as MIL-DTL-5541) and MIL-DTL-81706B, OSHA regulations and the hex European Union ELV directive. METALAST TCP-HF EPA is QPL approved (October 2007) and together with METALAST TCP-HF EPA provides the highest level of corrosion performance. METALAST TCP-HF EPA is only available through METALAST or its network of authorized distributors and chemical suppliers.
